We all know it’s important to eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. I don’t think many would argue against that. And before your eyes gloss over (or roll) thinking this is another attempt to get you to stop eating meat, think again. Rather, I’d like to express my love for an inanimate object. You guessed it, my Blendtec.
I was reflecting on my journey through various eating habits and diets, and really, my journey through health. Having been a 200+lb bodybuilder, to now being a 170lb athlete (I’d really say I excel now in endurance-related activities), I don’t think I could have accomplished the “level of health” I currently enjoy, if I didn’t consume as many fresh fruits and veggies as I do in a day.
My “ah ha” moment came the first time I used a Blendtec Total Blender. Instantly liquefying carrots, apples, cucumber, and kale to a consistency that was enjoyable to drink was simply amazing to me. Having been a “meat and potatoes” guy for so many years (with a fairly regular side salad), it suddenly dawned on me how much I had been missing out on, and how little veggies I had been consuming.
Fast forward 3+ years and 3,000+ Blendtec cycles, I’d now consider myself a Blendtec expert, having made everything from juices to green smoothies (probably twice a day), to pancake batter, soup, and now even fresh nut butter with Blendtec’s new Twister Jar.
Yes, I have a serious crush on my number one appliance. And how can I not, it’s changed my life. And with the holidays quickly upon us, what better gift is there, than the “Swiss army knife” of blenders? Birthday cake batter, endless sauces and dips, and hey, if you decide you don’t like that old broom anymore, you can blend it too (although I don’t recommend it – it wouldn’t taste very good).
Blendtec is currently offering an AMAZING holiday special. And I do mean amazing – I haven’t seen a price this low for a while for this blender. If your loved one even remotely enjoys spending time in the kitchen, this will be sure to increase their kitchen enjoyment by 1000x! And when you do buy your Blendtec, make sure to check out some of our recipes!
