I like this. We eat very

I like this. We eat very close to this already. We are not meant to eat food processed in a plant to the point where it no longer resembles food. Our food is not meant to contain chemicals, additives, or things to "preserve shelf life". Food that is bleached to make it look better does not belong in my body. Do you follow this "paleo" plan?

Acronym: Some Lucky People

Acronym: Some Lucky People Deserve Brock & Marta - Squats, Lunges, Plank/Push-ups, Dips, Burpees, Move (skipping as an example). This is our Episode #2 workout. Try it out and let us know what you think. Our running workout (episode #14) is challenging too!

Routine is everything for me.

Routine is everything for me. Breakfast every day is essential. And it's usually the same thing. The rest of the day we get more creative. Start setting goals. Water and breakfast are a good thing to get in place first.

Try our Anywhere Workout

Try our Anywhere Workout (Episode #2) three days a week.As you get back into it, this workout allows you to push harder, or even add weights for an extra challenge. Your instincts are right to ease back into it after a long layoff.

Marta and I love both! We

Marta and I love both! We tend to do long, hard rides on the road bikes for big distances. The mountain bikes are great for exploring "undiscovered" terrain, but can also be more of a leisurely pace if you want. If you both had both, you could change it up every now and again.

Set a goal. When do you want

Set a goal. When do you want to do it by? Train for it every other day. Increase your number by 50 each session and you should hit 1000 after a month or so.

Make sure you're getting at

Make sure you're getting at least 3 runs per week (a long run, medium distance, and short sprint/hills run). Increase the distance for the long run by 1 Km each week and you should be at your distance a week or two before. Then taper down the last week-and-a-half prior. Ask if you want more details!

Could be as a result of many

Could be as a result of many things, but not drinking too much water. Caffeine, alcohol, and salt all dehydrate the body, which could cause headaches. Allergies, stress, and sulphites in wine and packaged foods (boxes, bags, canned) or veggies sprayed with sulphites can all also cause headaches. Even your regular plasma donation could be a cause. What is your nutrition like?

How often is a "regular basis"? Your plasma regenerates within 24 hours. Red blood cells need 4 - 8 weeks. I have not heard of any long-term side effects.

It's always important to focus on core muscles. That will ensure to keep your back safe. For upper back, try holding a plank (push-up position but resting on forearms), then protract and retract your shoulders (squeeze your shoulder blades together, and separate them as far as you can). Stretching is essential too.

Hey Jon,I'm sure at some point some really hardcore bodybuilders decided to drink Bulls urine when they realized it was high in taurine. But I can assure you that for the massive amount of energy drinks that are produced worldwide, it is far more economical to produce synthetic taurine in a lab.

Define "get back into shape".

Define "get back into shape". That's always different in everyone's eyes. Create some specific goals, are you trying to lose weight? Then as you see improvements and get closer to your goal you know you're on track. If weight loss is your goal, it may be a matter of tweaking the intensity of your training, types of food, and portion sizes.

The Phentermine 37.5 sounds

The Phentermine 37.5 sounds like a pretty scary drug. Like any drug, there are always side-effects. This one warns about heart issues, blood pressure, and other serious issues. I ALWAYS advise against drugs. Give us more info about yourself (current nutrition and activity level) and we can help you get on track the right way!

The amount of water depends

The amount of water depends on your nutrition and activity level. We take in anywhere from 2 to 5 litres/day. Definitely ok to add lemons. Too much salt, caffeine, or alcohol will increase your need for water. Our first episode is about water.
If you want to burn fat, pair cardio with resistance training (lifting weights, using body weight for resistance). Try our Anywhere Workout (Being Active Episode #2) paired with your cardio. Keep cardio session shorter (30 minutes) but with short, intense bursts (interval training).

We did an Ab episode (#11). The first part is a spoof, but at the end we do some great core/ab exercises. Acai berries are great, but like any "miracle food", if it seems too good to be true...
Green Tea has powerful anti-oxidants, but drinking gallons of the stuff won't replace proper nutrition and exercise.

The best time is any time.

The best time is any time. But if you have a choice, earlier in the day will give you more energy over the course of the day. You will also burn more calories during the day. We prefer to consume organic produce. Nothing beats a crisp salad or sharp stir-fry! Try to find a farmers market if you can. You'll notice how much nicer the veggies taste!

Hmmm...you have a 2 week old. You need clearance from your doctor before you can start to exercise again. Once you do, you can start back in 3 days/wk and increase from there. Check out Episode #2 (Being Active) for ideas of things you can do at home).

I enjoy exercising, but get so bored when lifting weights, jogging, or traditional exercises. My gym used to have a rock wall machine and I love it, but they got rid of it. Do you have suggestions for some fun non-traditional exercises?
